Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classical, old boleros and the traditional ranchero, romantic, and romance ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera and the various forms of dramatic performing. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious vocal instruction at the age of 16 under the renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a student and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as an educator and performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor for the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her singing of Latin American traditional songs, she can instill an interest, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
